Esports Events

Get involved and join in the fun!

The following are recurring programs that take place in the Ohio State Esports Arena.

Learn To Play: Video games are fun, but sometimes games can be more complex than they initially look. During our Learn To Play sessions, we’ll cover the selected title's basic concepts, controls, and strategies to help you get set up for success. Whether new to gaming or a veteran interested in trying something different, this event will have something for you.

Space is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis

Learn To Play sessions take place bi-weekly in the esports arena on Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. Check the program calendar for more details

Looking for Group (LFG):

Are you looking for a Duo or Trio partner for your Fortnite/Apex squad? A controller/sentinel for your Valorant Team? Or just simply tired of solo queuing? LFG events are about finding others on campus who love the games you play and want to join in. Visit the arena and find your new teammate during one of our Looking for Group sessions!

Looking for Groups takes place weekly in the esports arena on Mondays from 7-9 p.m. Check the program calendar for more details

Game Night:

Do you need to destress after a long day of studying, classes, or work? Are you looking to play something quick and get a few laughs before a late-night study session? Game Nights are all about sitting back and having a good time with a few party games. With titles such as Mario Kart, Quiplash, Drawful, Among Us, and Mario Party to rhythm games like Just Dance or Beat Saber, this event is all about getting together with new and old friends to let off steam.

Game nights occur weekly in the esports arena on Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m.

Tournaments: Feeling the need to compete? Our drop-in tournaments are here to give you a chance to test your skills against the best players on campus in a variety of 1v1 and team-based video game titles.

Space and controllers are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tournaments take place bi-weekly on Sundays from 2-5 p.m.
